People are this mad about it because that was a blow to a sensitive wound we’re all feeling - where the art we’re seeing can’t be trusted, where the voices we hear might not be human, where the stories we experience might come from somewhere entirely hollow.

It was a tipping point for a lot of us.

I feel like that fact alone is enough to shy away from AI and chatbots. We’re deeply lonely and disconnected despite being always online, and this is not how we fix the problem.
