It is so heartbreaking to look at your parent and know that the person you've known you're entire life - is just not there anymore. I miss my mom but I love the woman I spend time with now just as much.

With so much evil and corruption nowadays, I try to look for simple things that bring a bit of joy to recharge my soul and keep some of the despair at bay ... even for just a few peaceful moments. This one is in my front yard and every spring it makes me smile.
