Are you running an in-person event about transgender support, research, education, knowledge sharing, or training?

We’d love it if you could download, print, and post our Crowdfunder poster to help us protect our decades of trans research & resources 🙏

GIRES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT
Help us protect trans research and resources
a Legacy of Kindness
Telling the Story of
GIRES
For decades, GIRES has been generating and actively preserving trans research, education, and recording people's lived experience - and making it accessible to educators, organisations, and the wider trans community.
But, like many charities, we're facing serious financial pressures, which is why we are taking action to safeguard our future.
Help us raise £10,000 so that GIRES can keep supporting the trans community
To respond to the needs of the trans community, we're repositioning GIRES to meet today's challenges - transforming into a research-based support hub for trans organisations, educators, EDI professionals.

Such an interesting call for papers!! I don't think I've ever seen something that so explicitly centres care in suicide studies...

This is SO helpful!! Some of the journal sites seem to really bury this information.

A really big thank you to @oliviajkirtley.bsky.social for the encouragement and @errwallace.bsky.social for starting the conversation and NetECR for, as ever, making these conversations possible!

I wanted to post as I have a feeling there are a bunch of folks in similar positions, feeling a bit abstractly nervous about pre-printing, but also wanting to be able to share work earlier than the slow machine that is academic publishing allows and also wanting to get feedback from colleagues.
hazelmarzetti.bsky.social
It was really simple, and really speedy - and hopefully we'll be able to maximise the amount of feedback we get on it before this article goes to it's final resting place in a journal.
hazelmarzetti.bsky.social
Now I know I'm super late to the pre-printing party, but pre-printing qualitative work wasn't at all on my radar until really recently- in my head, wrongly, I'd thought it was a quantiative research thing! So for anyone else feeling similarly nervous....
