Up to 1/5 students in student accommodation identify as LGBTQ+ & their experience at university is known to be often tougher than straight students.
LJMU & Unite Students are partnering to identify gaps & provide support.

The new Sex and Relationships guidance issued by the Department of Education appears unaware that a) AIDS can’t be transmitted and b) the ‘S’ stands for syndrome and isn’t just a plural for AID.
Educational guidance so ill-informed can’t be trusted.
And it isn’t even the worst thing about it. 😡
I’ve highlighted a section from the guidance that reads ‘How the different sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV/AIDs are transmitted.’

#OnThisDay 1999, a neo-Nazi nail bombed the Admiral Duncan pub in Soho deliberately targeted London's LGBT community. The explosion killed Andrea Dykes, John Light, and Nik Moore, and injured over 70 more. Today, we honour their memory, and stand united against hate, always.
