Another character reacting to the death in a meaningful way does not make the death "solely to motivate the other character" 😭 That was a side effect, the death was 100% about the person it happened to

It helps to make it a routine. Like I will eat dinner and do whatever chores I need to do for the night and then it's reading time.

I scroll during the day but I have set up an after work reading hour that is really nice.
