Thiiiiiiiis. "Fridging" loses all meaning when you apply it to every plot device death. It's a very specific phenomenon.
I am also putting "fridging" up on the shelf since apparently a lot of y'all can't tell the difference between a character death that has been foreshadowed and ties into the plot and themes from the cruel, random killing of a female character in order to motivate a man
