Salmon Chase was one of the founders of the Republican Party

I'll just assume you're saying he was a "winner Republican", not a loser

I can be comfortable with this concept if it refers to people in the distant past

Yeah if only Windows came with hivemind features, like being able to fly a jumbo jet, or do anything at all, as long as one member of the collective has the knowledge

My transition from Facebook to Bluesky meant dumping all my sports obsessed cousins

Then I blocked all the sportswriters and fans I found here

the block-o-rama now stands at 1,800 users blocked

(I thought it would be more TBH)

I now have virtually sports free social media

yay

That's great, but polls don't decide court reform.

I think the poll numbers in favor of court reform will remain strong through the 2026 primaries.

This is our best chance to elect pro-reform legislators in over a hundred years.

Here's a list of the primary dates:

2026 State Primary Election Dates
State primary dates for 2026 are listed here. Political parties use primaries to determine which candidates will run for their state’s partisan offices in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

Congress can modify federal jurisdiction and "pack" the court (increase the number of Justices) with a majority in Congress.

You suggestion requires a Constitutional amendment and thus a more robust supermajority: 2/3 in Congress and then 3/4 of States to ratify.

Not saying it's a "joke", but

Twenty one Justices is an interesting number.

I favor 13 because then we'd have one for every circuit court of appeals, but I can convinced more is better

In my country, the United States, back in the 20th century, my Civics teachers had to explain why Plessy v. Ferguson was not binding precedent and separate "Colored" facilities violated the Equal Protection Clause

Perhaps your country didn't have a "Living Constitution" like the US has always had

Lazy?

What if $143.95 was the perfect scam amount, arrived at after 1000s of hours of painstaking research?

14th amend. birthright citizenship isn't comparable to "official acts" immunity

Judges and prosecutors have official acts immunity. The Speech and Debate clause likewise protects Congress members. Against that background, extending immunity to the President was not a stretch

get better analogies
