Wrote about the whys and hows behind the amazing improvements for season 2 of My Dress-Up Darling / Kisekoi. More experienced & bolder directors, better production circumstances, and engagement with more diverse subcultures in a way that reinforces its themes blog.sakugabooru.com/2025/10/08/t...

Oh yeah mixed up the names completely. Meant Lego Voyagers instead of Explorers but yeah, that was a very neat game. Really liked the "open" sections with the DIY solutions with the boat & truck.

This was a phenomenal piece. Great work; I enjoyed reading it! You put into words way better than I could of "something that's irking me as I play it, but can't put my thumb on it." My friend & I also don't like the use of ellipses in the dialogue box to indicate when sound effects are occurring.

Started Popucom with a friend today & 2 hours in, it might be one of my top games this year. Also played Split Fiction and Lego Explorers with them & while those were enjoyable, Popucom is just a step above so far for me.

Wow, first episode of Digimon Beatbreak was pretty damn good. Already has me interested in its world setting & how Digimon are perceived in it. I hope it can keep this level of quality the entire way through.

Not entirely sure, but crossing my fingers that the anime adaptation for Gnosia turns out well and does it justice.

Out of the premieres I've watched so far, Dusk Beyond the End of the World & Sanda have stuck out to me. I might give the new Digimon a shot.

What would you say you're most looking forward to this season?

I strongly believe that With You and the Rain & Detectives These Days Are Crazy are some of the best roles that Saori Hayami & Kana Hanazawa have done in their careers respectively. They are both freaking spectacular in their lead roles for them that take those shows to the next level.

Probably a good time to mention the shows I enjoyed the most last season in no particular order:

- City the Animation
- Sakamoto Days Part 2
- With You and the Rain
- Dandadan S2
- Detectives These Days Are Crazy!
- Ruri Rocks
- Secrets of the Silent Witch
- My Dress-Up Darling S2
- Witch Watch

Watching the premiere of May I Ask for One Final Thing? today & its ED somewhat reminded me of the absolutely fantastic ED of the first season of Shadows House.

Very lucky my friend helped me remember the name of the show because I remembered its tune, but not exactly where it came from at first.

With the release of Digimon Story: Time Stranger & its user numbers starting out VERY strong on Steam, I'd like to remind everyone that it was developed by Media.Vision, who also worked on The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy earlier this year.

2025 has been an incredible year for them.

If you're curious about what kind of stats to expect in the unlockable Mega & Mega+ difficulties that're only available after beating the game once, here's the tutorial fight's stats. Yes, all of your Digimon & their stats carry over in New Game+.

I've played & fully beat Digimon Story: Time Stranger for review and it's up now. The entire game felt like playing through a polished, refined PS2-era JRPG -- both with the highs & lows that come along with that era of game. Even if you're not a fan of Digimon, I still think it's worth playing.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger triumphs in showing off the Digital World's liveliness blending a solid story & enjoyable systems into a package that makes it not only one of the best Digimon games ever -- but a great game overall. https://www.rpgsite.net/review/18602-digimon-story-time-stranger-review

Found a big mysterious package when I arrived home today & it had a treasure trove of Wuthering Waves goodies from Kuro Fest a few months back.

Sometimes I humor the idea of driving my editor at RPG Site insane by including comparisons that would make sense to absolutely no one.

As a total made-up example, "FF Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is like... Hoshigami, Stella Deus, Q*bert, and Makai Hakkenden Shada."

Been struggling to express how much this caught me off-guard when I heard the news today. I've spoken to Andrew here & there over the years; can't stress enough how kind & understanding he was. One of the early pioneers that showed doujin games can be successful on Steam.

Rest in peace, my friend.
