Hey @crawlieswithcri.bsky.social I took a shot of an artichoke flower this morning at the community gardens, and this tiny insect was on it. Any guess? Thanks. I couldn’t get closer.

Flowers at the San Diego community gardens this morning while I was birding. California flannelbush, Bush monkeyflower, honey bee on California buckwheat, and Blue chicory. 🌺🌸🌿

This is a chaparral yucca, a.k.a. Whipple yucca, a.k.a. Spanish bayonet. White creamy flowers similar to a Joshua tree or a Mojave yucca. I took the shot in my favorite place, middle of nowhere. 🌿
