Bottom line:
ALL of the strikes are extrajudicial killings under international law, murder under domestic law.
That's true of a first strike on any of these boats, & also of Sept 2 strike killing shipwrecked survivors (which would *also* be illegal in an armed conflict, but the US isn't in one).

I think as long as I do the work (volunteering, helping, etc) I am ok with being somewhat numb about the daily horrors and human rights violations being done daily in this fucked up country.... at least that's what I've been telling myself so that I keep in motion. YMMV & time will tell if it works

Once you accept the framing that there are Good Groups and Bad Groups and the latter must be purged from society and the former must have special privileges without oversight, it matters very little what you *call* these groups; the gates of a bottomless atrocity machine have been thrown wide open.
