Watched a few music programmes over Christmas, one of them was a Madness one. I had only really known Madness from Our House and House of Fun, so it was interesting to see the other music they had done.

Unfortunately this song is not on Spotify but I do have v2's OST downloaded on my iPod.

I grew up as a Nintendo kid so I have a soft spot for Japanese Fusion. Casiopea is my favourite band from this genre, and I would say that ASAYAKE is my favourite song of theirs, but there are a few contenders. I prefer J-Fusion to City Pop.

Was really torn on which The 1975 song to recommend next, since there's a lot I've been listening to lately. I decided on Guys, since I like its softer sound. There are heavy The 1975 that I like as well. Expect some next week.

This is one from the base folder I believe, and I don't think the base version was on there, but I quite like the acoustic version. I think I prefer the acoustic form, although it might be something that changes based on what mood I'm in.

Found this through Top Gear of the Pops, where I believe this song premiered. Was intrigued by the sound.
Another song that I would have only found through Top Gear.

I'm a big fan of odd time signatures and I'm surprised I didn't clock that about this song sooner.

This was a song that came from a suggestion from someone at college, since you can submit whatever music you want as requests.
Do quite like this one. Was I think the last request in my first lot of requests.

This is one that I really like that I wish I listened to more. I think I used to like ending radio sessions with this one.

I think I found this one through YouTube recommendations / mixes. Likely wouldn't have found it otherwise. The fact that this is off of a 1997 album for a traditionally 80s band makes it more obscure I think.

Definitely my favourite by Springsteen, and I think somewhat underrated. I like how soft it is.

I don't remember where I first heard this, was probably just on the radio at some point.
I ended up getting Neon Bible in physical because of this song. Haven't listened to much of it though.

A side effect of finding Asia from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is that I prefer John Payne over John Wetton
For some reason most of Payne's music is region blocked on Spotify in the UK. Don't know why. Region locked content is dumb.

One of my favourites, maybe my favourite from Big Chair but that is a tough call.
Found this song from a Spotify concert for Big Chair's 30th anniversary.
Could have seen them live for my 17th birthday. Really wish I did.

Probably my favourite song by Queen. Grew up listening to Greatest Hits II so I hold a soft spot for this era of Queen.
The Miracle's cover art is pretty brilliant as well.

Omori had to show up here at some point. I got really into Omori around March of last year. It is the best game I've ever played, and I don't think anything will ever be able to top it. Play it if you can.

Been a fan of James before he did music and I wish that I had kept listening after Sleeping on Trains. I would have loved this in 2022.
Think he played somewhat locally, which I would have loved to see.

Found Käärijä through Eurovision, and they're one of the few Eurovision artists whose other music I've explored deeply. Only other one I think is kinda close is Blind Channel. I think I just have a thing for Finland.

I remember being quite surprised that this ended up as my top, since it seems like I only listened to it in March.
Think it was a Stone Ocean thing.
Still like the song. Should listen to it more often.

Big fan of Pirates of the Caribbean and Two Steps From Hell's music has a grand orchestral vibe that reminds me a lot of Pirates, such as with Magika.
Just feels like an adventure waiting to happen.

Some songs in the future may not appear on Spotify, and I'll note which ones it applies to.

Truly GOOD Music at its finest. Be is such a good album. Found it from Digging The Greats. Check the channel out if you haven't. Gave me more insight into music production to the point where I may consider pursuing it.

Found this song through Foil Arms and Hog, an Irish comedy trio I've been watching since around 2018. Favourite sketches of theirs are the Driving Instructor series and Inconvenience Store Robbery.
