Thank you! It's actually meant to be a scrap buster, so each of the two 'strands' I'm working with is four strands of compatible colors, and when you run out of one, you swap in another, which I've done once so far. There are much brighter combos out there, but the moodiness of this combo is me :).

I learned a new-to-me knitting technique for a hat pattern I was really excited for! Latvian braids!
It looks like columns of knitting, but I'm actually working it up and down and some cool twisting of the yarns as you use them creates the effect.

I've only recently started actually using my mini skein hoard.
1. Softly Spoken shawl with a six-mini set.
2 and 3. Two of Ambah O'Brien's ADVENT[word] patterns. Rainbow scarf is an Avatar-themed set and cool colors is a Night Sky theme set.
4. Collective Shawl by Joji Locatelli

A rectangular knitted lace shawl, light Grey at either end and color blocks ranging from light pink through dark red and into charcoal Grey then a lighter Grey. Another rectangular shawl on a deck railing, but this one is a chevron pattern in a slight bias, with colors moving through reds and oranges closest to camera through to cooler tones on the other end. A larger garter stitch parallelogram consisting of two seamed triangles. One triangle is a much subtler fade of teal/ grey/ blue, and the other triangle has starker contrasts but still looks cohesive in cooler tones ending with a pop of hot pink. A kite shaped shawl with a teal garter main color and two-color brioche chunks in shades of blue/ green/purple. Honestly, a better pattern for scraps more than mini skeins because now i have leftover mini skeins.

#ShowMeYourKnits is WIPs this week, so here are three of my current WIPs. I'm also knitting a mystery knit-along (One Love Shawl), but spoilers, so not sharing. Pattern info in alt text.
Musselburgh Hat in progress. This one is a scrappy version, with aqua at the bottom; an ombre with aqua, navy, and cream; then a noisy ombre with blue/purple/green; and the most current color, a blue ombre with flashes of purple. A knitted shawl in progress. Pattern is the Cheap Date shawl. Main color is a tonal burgundy shade, contrast is a grey/silver/pink handspun yarn that is inconsistent. The texture moves between stockinette and garter. A knitted cowl in progress. Pattern is Twofold Cowl, a color-blocked intarsia shawl in Navy blue and teal-leaning blue, with a small cable crossing the two colors at the center column. The Cowl is halfway through bindoff.

It's horror story week in #ShowMeYourKnits, and this one is more of a cautionary tale, really, of a complex lace shawl:
1. Perhaps newly postpartum is not the best time to work complex charted lace.
2. You can use more stitch markers than advised by pattern.
Frogged after three years in time-out.

It's WIP week in #ShowMeYourKnits, so here are current projects.
1. May I Borrow This Please shawl, pattern by Lorraine Waitman. For kiddo.
2. Petty Harbour sock by Rayna Curtis. For Me, souvenir yarn.
3. Jason's Cashmere Hat by Melissa Thomson. On-the-go project to use old stash.

I bought the yarn for this last month. Cast on this month, almost done. Go go hyperfocus. But I love mosaic knitting, and the DK weight yarn made it fly.
A mosaic knit shawl is dunked in soapy water. The design is a repeating geometric motif in two shades of blue-green, one dark and one a light seafoam color.

Scrappy/ leftover knits for #ShowMeYourKnits
1. Pair of fingerless mitts that also used up beads left from another project.
2. Mittens for kiddo, my first magic loop project.

Little bit of #tourdefleece2025 update. Been a mostly slow few spinning days with a bigger burst of progress yesterday because I made it out to spinning at my local yarn shop.

Finished the spin I began #tourdefleece2025 with.

Fiber was a set of Inglenook Sticklebatts, and it came out to about 310 yards of a sport-ish weight yarn. A delight to spin.

A little #tourdefleece2025 update.
Mostly done plying the spin I had started at the beginning, and a new spin. Def gonna break this project up with a quicker spin on the other wheel 😅.

Days one and (so far) two of spinning for Tour de Fleece.

This fiber is a set of mini batts from Inglenook Fibers. I wasn't super precious about splitting my fiber in half, and I may come to regret that 😅.

I'm knitting this shawl. It's a very relaxing knit in the final section.

Garter stitch for #ShowMeYourKnits this week. Yeah, I've done a few things with it 😁. Not pictured: the several Hitchhiker sharps I've knitted along the way. Details in alt.

The edge inverts that with black as primary and red stripes, shaped like the edge of a gear with a circular lace motif between "teeth." Pattern is called Cogwheel by Rachel Molenaar. A crescent shawl in shades of blue spans across a book shelf. From right to left, the colors fade from seafoam blue/green with shots of navy and cream, to cerulean, to a mottled blue/Grey. Pattern is Andrea Mowry's Free Your Fade. A shawl shaped in two garter triangles joined into a parallelogram. The triangles both fade through ~12 colors in shades of blues and greens and purple and even a bit of hot pink. Pattern is Ambah O Brien's ADVENTurous Wrap.

I decided to start a crochet project for the first time in a little while last Thursday, and then proceeded to take it everywhere with me and may have accidentally almost finished an entire shawl in several days. Whoops.
Pattern is the Elise Shawl by Evan Plevinski, and yarn is by Nerd Girl Yarn.

Cowl week for #ShowMeYourKnits- one of my fav things to make. Details in alt. Could have had at least another additional post of entries and I may come back to it this weekend to share more. Love bandana-style cowls!
A knitted cowl in sections of two color brioche and garter. Colors are dark green and cream with green speckles. Pattern is Lavanya Patricella's Garter Snake Cowl. It was my first brioche project, and when I figured out that I don't like tube-style cowls. This knitted cowl is a bandana style, knitted in handspun yarn with slow color changes that show off the ripple stitch. Colors shift from purple to dark green to light green to blue, then through orange, pink, and purple, reversing after the purple. Pattern is Susan Ashcroft's Myssoni Bandana. My most recent finished cowl, knitted in color-changing Spincycle Yarn with a solid blue contrast, with some clever slip stitch texture. The colors start at orange, fade through pink, purple, blue, and green, then reverse. Pattern is another Lavanya Patricella, The Thistle Thorn Cowl. This other Bandana style cowl is Andrea Mowry's popular Shift Cowl, knitted in three colors of my own handspun. Two are very low contrast variations on blue-green, and the third is a dark space-y colorway. It's impossible to capture, but every single yarn is very sparkly.
