My profs were right about the need for some kind of structure. The earlier drawings are more like my brain. I've learned relatively recently that I have ADHD which explains why I have a hard time picturing the completion or overall structure of something. Setting up a structure first does help.

To me, this series was about spiritual and physical ecstasy (and my puzzlement that these are often viewed in opposition to each other.)
I think some understood, but most people saw these as making fun of the church or sticking it to religion. I moved on when I realized I didn't want to do that.

A couple of my grad school professors thought that I needed a framework for my piles of figures. A friend sent me a postcard from her summer in Rome and the church ceiling became that framework.

Did you always like colored pencils? I don't remember. I am currently somewhat obsessed. Teaching things teaches me.

Facebook goes first because it's not even fun anymore. Insta is going to have to go eventually because I don't trust Meta, but that will be more painful.

I saw someone is making some app so that your feed can look more like instagram, but I think that's not fully the point. I know a lot of artists who have migrated, now to figure out how to get similar artists to show up in said feed....I haven't fully left either.

@andyrosenartworks.bsky.social Have you found any? These are probably more to your taste than any of the general art feeds I have found...still trying to figure this all out.
