Been working some more on the Highport map, and have now finished the section. Cafe, Scout Service office, Food Store, Book Store, Clothes Store and an arboretum.

So, I have now got 17 pages of my latest project completed. This amounts to about 40%, I think.

So, I'm currently working on my next project (another adventure for Classic Traveller). Here is a map I am making for it - it is part of a highport, and includes a cafe/coffee shop and a Scout Services office (scale is 1 square = 1.5m).

One of the first fantasy books I remember reading in the 1970s was “A Wizard of Earthsea” (I was about 7 or 8).
LeGuin created an amazing character, story and world.
I only recently realised that it was in my father’s library of books, so he had read it before me.
Working away on "Supplement: Jewell Subsector". This will provide planetary maps for each world in the subsector plus detailed information about each world. And each world will also have one or two patrons available. This is an interesting one to share:

So, this is one of my current projects.
A detailed supplement covering the Jewell subsector of the Spinward Marches. Each double page will cover one planet, and will include one or two patrons that can be encountered on that planet. Each planet will also have a world map.

5) As a huge comic book fan, the opportunity to play a superhero was too good to pass up. One of the first such games was Champions by Hero Games. That fact you needed a degree in Maths didn’t deter me either.

4) After all the fantasy this was my first foray into the sci-fi realms. Though it might have been bought before RuneQuest (it all rolls into one at that time).
Traveller 1e. “Mayday…Mayday … This is the Free Trader Beowulf”. Exploring the Spinward Marches, fighting Zhodani.

3) After AD&D1e, I think the next game I bought was RuneQuest by Chaosium.
A unique background, the world created by Greg Stafford, and the appeal of Dragonewts was too much. A great game which also opened up so many others (Chaosium Basic RPG rules).

2) Then came the next purchases, the three books that formed the core of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. The world of fantasy took a giant leap forward (though I did buy the Expert Set before these).

1) Back in the summer of 1981 I was looking for a game to buy in Woolworths on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow. A game caught my eye, which I bought, and never looked back since.
Basic D&D was simple, and only took characters to level 3. It was a good place to start though.

I'm Carl - in the "real" world I teach Mathematics at secondary school. In the world we live in, I write content for D&D5e and for Traveller.

So, amongst my current projects is one involving a dwarven fortress located in the north of the Realms.
I've been playing around with the artwork, trying to combine two pictures and this is the result.
