According to Ben Mulroney, there's an unfair double standard against Danielle Smith as a woman because both her and Doug Ford are "negotiating with Trump" and everyone hates her and not Ford. She's very openly MAGA and working against Canada. Ford has been very anti MAGA since the tarriffs. Simple.

MAGA owns every branch of federal government, FBI, CIA, etc. Next is the military. They will attempt the coup probably before or during the midterms. You need to resist. It will be uncomfortable and likely painful but there is no other choice. Stand up for democracy.

So many Democrats in Congress haven't had to do much of anything for decades except show up and vote, give the occasional speech, and cash the paycheck. They are way too comfortable and so ill-equipped to fight what's happening.

I don't know how well a general strike in the US will work when you have more people show up for the Eagles parade than to protest the collapse of the country. Would love to be wrong as I don't know what else could stop all this at this point.

People are gloomily pointing out all the similarities between the fall of Rome and America. One fundamental difference to keep in mind, and I think people will find this pretty comforting, is that America is sitting on a fucking huge stockpile of nuclear weapons.
