The main reason I ever wanted my hip replaced was so that I could go hiking again. It's been 6 years now.

I've lost the weight they asked me to, but still have the hip problems and now just need to be fully insured again.

I gave up on writing fiction in my 30s, but perhaps now I could actually be good at it. But wrestling with how to be a writer again now that I'm competing with AI (and, honestly, ChatGPT lets me know when I'm rambling better than any editor I've had).
