It is all very well promising End of Life options but they cost money 👇The Hospice movement is one of the UK's greatest achievements but it needs resourcing by the state. Those with terminal illnesses need to be able to access beds & resources wherever they live.

The #GoodChildhoodReport 2025 is here and one thing is clear: teenagers are under pressure from all angles.

Children’s wellbeing is still in decline. We cannot allow this to be our normal, it is time for change.

.... and acceptance (of yourself and others). We must recognise that there is a need for a better/easier diagnostic process that is completely separate to talking about access to education.
There is I think a lot of value in this new @ippr.org report - particularly the recognition (missing from so much coverage) that the 2011 move away from inclusion has substantially contributed to the increase in EHCPs etc.

But diagnosis isn't just about education. It is about identity, culture...
A handy summary via @tesmagazine.bsky.social of what we say about improving inclusion in today's @ippr.org report: www.tes.com/magazine/new...

The very nature of schools makes #SEND provision difficult. The expectation that all children will hit the same mark simultaneously is misguided for everyone, for the disabled & neurodivergent its insane. The noise, overcrowding, bullying & lack of 1:1 care IS the problem. Fix that & inclusion works

So excited to have an opportunity to support and learn from this fantastic project - co-led by @louca-mai.bsky.social, @kathevans2.bsky.social, young people, and others - which explores how diverse young people's voices can best be heard & lead to real change in health/wellbeing policy & practice
Really excited to be co-leading this project with a fab team including @kathevans2.bsky.social, young people and @uniofherts.bsky.social colleagues - not all of whom are on this site yet!
🧑🏾‍🤝‍🧑🏻Children & young people are often excluded from healthcare consultations that impact their health and wellbeing.

Our new project is working with healthcare services, community organisations and underserved youth to champion their voices in healthcare design.
