You need to give the important context - that he is talking about the threat posed by Reform. I have to say, much as I hate the Tories, I agree. At least we were never on the brink of fascism.

We shouldn't be allowing developers chasing lucrative Contracts for Difference subsidies to dictate energy development affecting vast areas of the country.

It is essential that the government invests in infrastructure, while also providing urgent strategic direction for renewables and storage. Current policy is enabling Solar/BESS developers to grab every available connection regardless of need or environmental impact.
