As it’s almost time to say goodbye to 2025, I’m reflecting on some difficult as well as some wonderful times. And so I expect the same for 2026, but who really knows? One thing is certain, life is change, so remember the good times and smile that it happened.

Bless you Pauline. Your Shirley Valentine helped shape me at 17 into the woman I later became. A film I have fond memories of watching with my mum. And without a doubt the reason aged 23 I ended up living and working on a Greek island. Thank you. RIP. X

I’ve been tap dancing tonight- only the 2nd time I’ve done this in almost 40 years. I think I did alright to be honest. Managed a triple time step. With a break. Suspect I’ll be doubled up tomorrow - if I can get out of bed. Age is cruel thing, isn’t it?

A few weeks ago I shared with my mainly millennial work colleagues what a mix tape was, and that I never had anyone make one for me despite it being a thing back in my youth. I have just opened my birthday card from them all -full of lovely thoughtful messages. It’s the small things isn’t it?

A rare evening at work tonight, but it took me to an amazing village pub, a drinkers pub, out in the Leicestershire countryside, and it was so lovely I am going to buy a house there one day.
