#Heron hitching a ride on hippo at sunset!

Always wonderful to watch the relationship between these two, when the heron uses the hippo to move from one side of the dam to the other.

#TheRoad to #Everest crosses several high passes in #Tibet, switchbacking laboriously up and down each side. At the Gawu La pass, Everest, with its north-east ridge, is just visible (center horizon with the ‘traditional’ plume from the summit).

A young Saddle-back Stork in #Kruger, SA. See them often, but this was the first time I saw one crossing the road!

That stork was there for about half an hour, just mooching around, not far from the dirt track I was driving on. My sightings have always been of them either just standing like this, or walking real slow!
