Sometimes in Northern Thailand. Sometimes on a Southern Thai beach. Sometimes in the USA. Where ever I am, I aim to leave a small footprint.

Ishmael, My Ishmael, and The Story of B by Daniel Quinn are probably the most important books I have ever read.
Hey @governor.ca.gov .. here is an idea. In LA there are a lot of old 99cent stores sitting empty. Neighborhood stores. Is it possible the state can open stores selling basic necessities at break even prices? Little or no profit. We have the technology to set real time prices.

P.S. State banks too

My two-part assessment of the YIMBY/supply-side/Abundance liberalism advanced in new books by Ezra Klein, Derek Thompson, Yoni Appelbaum, and Marc Dunkelman:

The Gaping Hole in the Center of the Abundance Agenda

It means a lot, to me and to everyone who works so hard to make Signal happen every day, to hear this from a legend like @matthewdgreen.bsky.social 💐
One of the things I’ve come to appreciate being with privacy folks this week is how unique Signal is at this moment. I know it’s maybe a cliche at this point, but it needs to be said.

hopefully something will coalesce soon
I feel like an important guerrilla journalism approach in these times should be to amplify the divisions, differing approaches, small arguments, and general events of pettiness among the broligarchs and Trump so they tear each other down in a massive ego contest and splinter from within.
