Today, Maine observes Indigenous Peoples' Day. We honor the lands and legacies of the Wabanaki Nations — Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Abenaki.
I look forward to passing legislation in the Senate to protect tribal sovereignty, which has been trampled for too long.

It was my first time up here in Maine that this happened but I got a movie prop bill last night.
I didn't accept this as tender and I politely told the guy that what he handed me was a fake and I'd have to keep it for legal purposes. Felt bad because the guy was clearly distraught.
