I understand that Germany has actually stopped the sale of uraniun from the Czechoslovakian mines which she has taken over. That she should have taken such early action might perhaps be understood on the ground that the son of the German Under-Secretary of State, von Weizsäcker, is attached to the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institut in Berlin where some of the American work on uranium is now being repeated. In fairness, George Washington was basically a real estate developer. He supported the Revolution because it helped his land holdings in the west. He was also born into money and appeared rich, but was constantly broke. Even had to get a loan for $100 to get to his own inauguration.

Thanks for sharing. Lovely is excellent. One small quibble with this section. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Israel is not. Israel is the only country claiming a right to nuclear weapons. The piece is kind of making Netanyahu’s false argument.
At the same time, access to nuclear technology must come with the responsibility not to weaponize it, which both Israel (as an undeclared nuclear weapons state) and Iran (as a potential breakout nuclear weapon state) have refused to recognize.

I don’t know what caused their sickness. My main issue is that plenty of scientists say we can never know for certain due to obstruction. Questioning seems reasonable.

Biosafety level 4, or BSL-4, labs are the most restrictive and designed to handle the most dangerous pathogens. According to the intelligence report, as of January 2019, WIV researchers were performing experiments with coronaviruses in BSL-2 labs, which have far fewer safeguards, despite knowing of "these virus' ability to directly infect humans."
