I don’t find the idea that country got more racist and sexist between 2020 and 2024 particularly persuasive, no. I think it’s a cop out answer to avoid confronting the truth that the last president was deeply unpopular and circling the wagons totally screwed Kamala’s chances of winning.

It’s in fact possible for the shark from Jaws to be bad and for the Mayor from Jaws to be incompetent. Complaining about Republicans serves no purpose on Bluesky. Convincing Democrats that they need to throw out a failing playbook is actually not a waste of time in a space full of Democrats.
