A couple of weeks back I saw a pic of a 6 "fingered" Hen Harrier and said to friends we were bound to get rarity claims using AI.... didn't take long. Well spotted that man!

The irony of this is, that bird could be somewhere in UK now or near future and be treated completely as wild.

It gets to be a tougher proposition over that direction...but not impossible.

Bald Eagle. Juv Golden Eagle are clean, well marked beasts with clear tail pattern and wing patch which is centered in the hand (not at the wing edge).
Bald on the other hand look scruffy. White blotching here and there in no repeatable pattern.

I used to hitch everywhere in my early 20s. Of course...Bluesky was all fields back then...
