After a recent early morning airport drop off, I continued down to Wexford for the first time in years. I was delighted to find a juvenile American Golden Plover at Tacumshin, before a harrier spectacle. The male Northern Harrier joined a few Hen and Marsh Harriers as the sun set.
On this date, I ticked my first Pallas's Warbler on Cape Clear. Good old fashioned old school rarity that never loses its class. 😍😎 #irishrarebirds #birds #birding #birdwatching

Ya gotta love Isabelline/Daurian Shrike. 😍 Not the adult on offer in Wexford today, but good memories none the less having 3 Shrikes in the same field. #irishrarebirds #birding #birds #birdwatching
Fewer migrants today against yesterday, no sign of the Rustic Bunting. This morning a Common Rosefinch was ringed at Michael Vincent's garden, in the afternoon a Wryneck was found and photographed by David O' Connor at central bog. Also today, Merlin, Garden Warbler and Common Crossbill.
October thus far, records include Black browed Albatross, Hobby, Jack Snipe, Grey Phalarope, Sabines Gull, Pomarine Skua, Wryneck, Tawny Pipit, Common Redstart, Ring Ouzel, Yellow browed, Pallas's, & Radde's warbler, Crossbill, Rosefinch, Ortolan & Rustic Bunting. Photo today's Pallas's.

A lifer today for some of the county’s most enthusiastic and experienced birders - this county-first Swainson’s Thrush should have been heading from Canada to South America, not Málainn Mhóir (Malin More), Gleann Cholm Cille (Glencolumbkille). Photo @delboydonegal.bsky.social
It was hard to imagine the day getting much better yesterday after twitching the Grey-cheeked Thrush on Tory, and 3 Red-eyed Vireos appearing to arrive on the island after lunch. #donegalbirding
But then I spotted these 2 ducks asleep in the harbour at Maheroarty. A comical wait for them to pop their heads up, Irelands first Harlequins! Great to hear they are back again this morning. #donegalbirding
Desert Wheatear. Not the most tantalizing views I've ever had of this species. More used to them hopping around my feet to be honest. But a #finland tick nonetheless. 😎😍 #birds #birding #birdwatching
One of the Harlequins Ducks I found a few weeks ago has settled down on a quiet little beach in North West Donegal and I was really fortunate to spend a bit of time with it recently. Fingers crossed now that it stays for the winter, what a glorious sight it will be in a few months.
There will now be a reality bending "source" for every nutball conspiracy theory imaginable.

Well done all who turned a blind eye to what this scum bag was up to.

I have a very bad feeling about this...
Yet more reason to abandon the Adolf Titler-verse.
New: Elon Musk appears to have just launched "Grokipedia," billed as a more right-leaning rival to Wikipedia: grokipedia.com

Story to come. If you try it out, I'd be interested to hear what you find.

Can you imagine TDs scrambling to change the Constitution or commentators hand-wringing in the media if it was leftists who behaved the way the spoiled vote crew did, in the same (minority) numbers, after several bigoted riots. Not so much forced to pander to them as willingly taking a running leap.
A case of the split taking place long after? I mean realistically, in days of yore (1800s), Bean Geese were common, presumably the case for both species. You would imagine there's a stuffed bird shot in Donegal somewhere perhaps.
Yet again a reminder, Ireland just can't seem to produce anything of this quality. Why is that? #IrishRareBirds
Gets earlier every year..,Can’t wait to look through it
A racist brit, living in Dublin, claiming Ireland is full...🤦 Ya couldn't make it up. 😂😂
