Stamp duty doesn't deter people from moving house. It makes people say "ahhhh shit" every time they remember it exists.

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Do they not realise AInme has coded them as the villain? These characters would be shocked and sweating in front of a blown out skyscraper window, garlanded by flailing blinds and fluttering A4 within 90 minutes

"Amazon gouges its merchants so much that it pays nothing to ship its own goods, which compete directly with those merchants’ goods."

And we all pay extra, even if we boycott, because merchants are forced to charge the same everywhere

Something else that offers a glimpse is much of the entire rest of the globe

"Is it safe to govern using the same politics as many millions of people on this planet?"

Yes. Yes it is.

Signing a contract with the UK govt means waiting 25 years to get their hands on it?

Yes. A friend from art college in London, 2005, found a lost baby squirrel and it lived on him. He would come into the studio with it on his body. He called it Jesus (not for religious reasons)
