Gisele Pelicot is an incredible woman and a hero for her nerve in bringing all those rapists to justice and for knowing the shame does not lie worth her — bravely declining anonymity was incredible.

Completely agree with @doctoroxford.bsky.social
Palliative care should not have to rely on charity donations. We need a well funded palliative, NHS and social care system so that people don’t have to see this as their only choice.
Please sort this urgently @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social
My direct appeal to @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social
& Keir_Starmer in the light of yesterday's vote on AD.

If they sincerely care about dying people, surely now they will publicly & urgently commit to properly funding our threadbare, neglected palliative care?

It's kind of nice here at 2 am. The notifications are manageable and the house is quiet. I belong in bed, but it's nice to breathe and be grateful.

Really enjoyed the APMJ conference today, was so eye-opening. Haven't had a chance yet to watch the recordings for the other breakout sessions that I missed but the speakers I saw were all absolutely brilliant!

Today's reflection: the hospital was beyond busy today - utter chaos - and yet I had a truly wonderful shift. I had the nicest colleagues and the sweetest patients, and I can't help but think how dreadful this day might have felt if I hadn't had such a lovely circle around me. So so grateful.

I finally bit the bullet and paid the £700 fee to sit PACES for the upcoming diet...I guess this means I ought to start taking my revision a bit more seriously! Any advice would be warmly welcomed... 😅
