Every time the horrid Minnesota/ICE situation is discussed, and the Whipple federal building is mentioned, I can't help but think about who it is named for. How can a building named for a person who fought for the rights of the oppressed be used for such oppression?

Has anyone figured out what the letters on the coin mean? MKE-HST?? at the top and then at the bottom it looks like ATF-I??.

I feel your pain. Just got done paying $3500 for 3 visits to remove a blockage from my little beagle. She chewed up so many deer bones it was like lumps of concrete in her. Glad Bowie is better.

I live in a red state, 80% red county, red relatives. Sometimes it feels lonely. I'm not giving up. I've found ways to stand strong and fight back. I will NOT give in.

I loved Steve Miller Band. In '77 I twisted my ankle in P.E. and a boy a year ahead carried me out to my mother's car. His name was Steve Miller & he was gorgeous. I was SO IN LOVE!!! 😍😂 This was his picture in the year book.

My little rural red Indiana county showed up today for No Kings. About 250 people, which roughly equal .5% of the county.
That might not sound like much, but at the same % in NYC it would equal over 42,000!

My small town of 13K had both sides of a full city block around the courthouse filled with people. The county votes at 75% in favor of Republicans. Yet, so many drivers honked their horns and waved. It was an encouraging sign in this rural red Indiana town.

Most of the summer colors have faded. This morning's walk was pretty much white #fungus , white flowers & white fluff from the wild lettuce. 🌿📷

Poor you! You might also try Accuweather. With the wildfire smoke, pollen & ozone fluctuating daily, I've only been going outside for about an hour early in the morning. Hope things get better for you.

A cloud in the distance at daybreak. But still no rain. It's been dry for a month & forecast doesn't give much hope for the next 30 days. Living in the woods, wildfires always worry me. And with the farmers getting ready to harvest their dry crops, field fires will surely happen.
