Why are we pretending “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” in the 14th Amendment needs SCOTUS to interpret it when apparently we can kidnap state leaders from abroad and put them on trial in NYC for breaking US law.

I have been embarrassed many, many times in my life.

But the worst embarrassment is when you're a teacher and you're just wrong about something, and you're corrected mid-class.

Hell will be an eternity reliving all the times I screwed up in the classroom.
