Grouchy Math Teacher
@heyhoody.bsky.social
Hoody is a grandpa, dad, brother, middle/high school math teacher, ex-HS sci lab asst, ex-sub custodian, ex-lunch lady, damn good Span tutor, ex-sci teacher, former foster dad, traveling picture-taker, and owner of Appalachian Trail Home Stay, a B&B in MD
He's not real. Nobody is either evil or incompetent at *literally* everything. I mean, even Pol Pot did some lovely watercolor paintings ... (probably)

I didn't know Kensington was so close to the field ...

Well, snowy field, so spam that efficient running game and short crossers over the middle.

<Community Notes: The Eagles don't have either of these things.>

Prime Rivers running Mike McDaniel's offense would've been cool. Quick, accurate, fearless, smart.

I know zip, but even I guessed how JK's minutes were going to go this year. Kerr, arms folded w/ scowl, was going to play him lots early ('fine Mike, you told me to play him -- I'm playing him'). Then, as soon as the grownups started getting healthy and playing better, back to 10th man.

F'ing hell, NPR. Again, it's the weekend copy editor, Ol' Red, at work. Here's your edit:

"Trump continues to announce peace deals -- the countries at war say his announcements are false and unwanted."

That is spicy. I'd like to see him play a couple of years with some clever players to unlock the bit that his dad gave him.

It's telling about the state of media when Time is now just a straight troll farm. And probably more profitable this way.

You are kind to phrase Olsen's understanding of analytics as incredible. I might suggest, perhaps, every other ex-player's lack of understanding of even simple analytics is more incredible.

That's fair. At this point, yes, I trust that an NFL GM knows better than me that he is the best option. However, for $2-8m this past off season, any team could have had Mariota, Brissett, Flacco, Jones, Dobbs, Winston, Rudolph, Rush, Heinicke, Keenum -- each of whom has won a game since 2020

I'll never understand this. Teams routinely make the decision to carry a fifth LB, or a fourth RB, so that they can only keep one good starting quarterback and maybe one not even acceptable backup. Decent backup QBs cost, at most, 8 to 10 million a year. That's worth not having your season implode.

Mine is a cootie catcher. So one in four times, the offensive coordinator has a crush on the teacher.

I don't get the pearl clutching about big professional programs ditching the bowls. It's a nice perk$$ for a mid-major, middle-of-the-pack school. And it gives coaches a few extra weeks of practice. Notre Dame has played 12 meaningful, high-leverage, fully-televised games this year.

That is totally fair about Brian Keefe. His permanent hiring was based on his ability to slightly improve the defense, and...

The Wiz are so interesting because smart basketball folks really like the assortment of young talent, and they like the coach. And they are still literally one of the worst basketball teams in the last 50 years.

Think, the US could be the maker of the next great people's car, the Beetle. I don't know the story of how the Beetle came to be, but I'm sure it's uplifting and patriotic.

Don't debate this. These words, not even written by him, are meaningless nonsense by someone with a 8-year-old's understanding of commerce.
