It’s #FirePreventionWeek, and this year we’re focusing on lithium-ion battery safety. These batteries power everyday items, like phones, laptops and e-bikes. But they can be a fire risk if not handled properly. Here are some tips from Briana, a member of the HRFE Fire Prevention team.

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency is proud to honour Treaty Day in Nova Scotia. Oct. 1 was Treaty Day, which recognizes the Peace and Friendship Treaties signed in the 1700s. These treaties affirmed Mi’kmaw rights and relationships that continue today.
