Every day, it seems, Trump sounds madder.

All this blather around Jane Austen. Studied her work. Emperor’s new clothes. So dull.

The King’s Speech…..? Said nothing and was padded with generic video. What’s the point?

I’m a Humanist, hold no faith and certainly not Church of England but some of the less well-known music in todays’s Nine Lessons and Carols is undeniably beautiful.

Just finished Lownie’s book ‘Entitled’. Strange to think that such a long story of Andrew and Ferguson’s staggering avarice, greed, incompetence, childishness, corruption and entitled insouciance can become boring. He should have been sussed well before Epstein. The late queen comes out badly too.

America’s infrastructure has been crumbling for years and still is, while the rich gits bleed it dry. Refineries that can only process thick, heavy crude, is why Trump wants Venezuela oil.
December 21, 2025 at 7:35 PM
21 December. There is hope. Stopwatches out, tonight, to check that Trump hasn’t buggered that too.

Putin/Ukraine: Trump Venezuela TweedleDeeand TweedleDumb. And TweedleDumb wants a Peace Prize….🙄
December 17, 2025 at 8:45 AM
Surely the Beeb would be better fighting Trump on the clear grounds that, although edited, he said it and the programme accurately reflects the tone and intent of that rambling tirade. If, indeed, the case even falls within jurisdiction.

Would that one, very brave, Syrian might change the mood music……

Surely seeing Trump as the deranged bigot that he is, is a sign of sanity?

Religions. Different versions of the same or similar myth, perpetuated by those whom it benefits. And now, though it’s baseless, an excuse for division and extreme violence. Time we binned the lot.

The self-regarding Welby had to resign in disgrace. His smug-faced successor seems to be mired in similar safeguarding ‘errors’. Time to disestablish the silly institution and, for sure, get the bishops out of the Upper Chamber.
December 12, 2025 at 9:43 AM
Hey Trump- features! If you want to talk about decaying cultures, look around you. The obscenely widening gap between the poor and the super rich, who then take on the role of a technocracy, has preceded the collapse of previous civilisations.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more pathetic. Rubio demands change from the modern, accessible Calibri front on official documents to the ancient, regressive Times New Roman. Just because Biden. Kindergarten stuff again.

Subbuteo Peace Prize. Me, me, me!!! Can nobody in USA see that the Orange has completely lost the plot ?

Only 2 weeks to go, thank goodness. Trouble is, we will still have the Christmas nause to get through.

How did it so suddenly happen that a US administration sees Russia as an ally and Europe as inimical?

On the radio, I just misheard “Wes Streeting” as “ Rasputin”

Trump xenophobia being applauded? He’s getting more and more irrational and they love it ……

Hillsborough. I it would be bad enough if it were an albeit awful, one-off. But it happens every bloody time. Culpable police cover-ups, resignations, early retirements and/or runaways.

Is there no one in USA, who can abate the lunatic excesses of the current WH occupant?
December 1, 2025 at 7:45 PM
The toxic legacy of that lunatic Brexit decision bites again. Even against the background of a European neighbour’s desperately needed defence help against Russian re-empiring attempts, it still poisons the Brussels water.
