We have to classify, X, Facebook and the rest of the tech platforms as ”publishers“, legally responsible for everything that appears. It’s unnaceptable that they hide behind their users & use the “nothing to do with me, guv” defence.

They make untold billions.

It’s up to THEM to police their sites

Frostadóttir - what a great name for an Icelandic woman! We need more of this, people! Suggestions?

Yes, I know it's pathetic but god knows - we need a bit of levity in politics right now.

I wish you every success, Kristrún.
Great to welcome Kristrún Frostadóttir in Brussels.

Our EU-Iceland partnership offers stability and predictability in a volatile world.

How DARE water companies like South East Water blame inadequate infrastructure for their failure to deliver clean water to homes!
They've had thirty years of customers paying through the nose for infrastructure upgrades but the money as gone on unearned dividends and bonuses.
FRAUD.
JAIL the execs.

There are plenty of people born & raised in Britain who *are* British (as opposed to *feeling* British) that you & your party would be only too happy to send back to their 'ethnic homeland' because their skin isn't white.
Moronic hypocrite, Zahawi.
Keep an eye on your fascist backstabbing 'pals'.
January 12, 2026 at 7:22 PM
Hahaha! Farage is collecting the worst of the last batch of Tory governments and Zahawi is the latest 'coup'.
With his MPs and councillors slowly migrating to HMPrisons, Reform maxing out council tax rises and him nailing his colours to the Trump/Musk mast, how could he be more appealing?
Epstein?

The right wing dream is always built on lies. Truth kills fascism.
Reform told you reducing council tax was easy. They just had to slash Woke policies, and a billion or two would be saved. They wouldn't even need to close care services.

They promise you that.

And then every single Reform-led council cut care services and increased council tax.

No Kemi, Trump threatening to invade a NATO ally is not a "second order issue."

It’s a direct challenge to Britain’s security and the future of NATO.

Please share this in Australia and elsewhere. The world needs to know the inhumane treatment Americans are experiencing under Trump. This is ICE in action.

If you have not seen this yet it is a must see! A DoorDash delivery person runs into couple's home when she realizes ICE followed her. What follows is mind blowing. Spread this video.

If Trump gets any part of Greenland, he'll share it with Putin in an extension of the Ukraine minerals grab, threatening NATO's borders in the east, the north and the west - where the US itself was once NATO's bulwark but can no longer be trusted.

Why is the UK government using a social medium that is actively supporting the demeaning of women?
January 7, 2026 at 11:24 AM
Dear sane, thinking, US friends, if & when 'the best president you've ever had' attempts military action in Greenland, it will be a strike on our European and NATO ally, Denmark. You will no longer be our friends and will remain so until you take overt action to remove your king. Expect hostilities.

What is the point of the US congress? It is doing NOTHING for US citizens.
Get some balls and hold Trump to account or anoint him king and resign en masse. Why should American taxpayers pay your wages?

First Venezuela, next Greenland?

You don't suck up to bullies like Trump, he will just see it as a sign of weakness.

Keir Starmer needs to get on the phone to our European allies including the Danish PM, and show a united front against Trump's threats.
January 4, 2026 at 3:12 PM
There are millions who recognise how wrong Trump's admin is behaving - mostly Dems but plenty of GOP supporters too. Most (not all) of us outside are looking on in horror & disbelief. OUR problem is we no longer trust the US & don't know if/when we'll be able to do so.

So, the government sees fit to backtrack on farmers' IHT in the face of loud, and questionably legal, protest.
Oh good. Given that all taxpayers, including farmers, are being taxed more every year that the basic allowance is frozen, we can all expect a reversal of fortune too, can we?

If only there were a Nobel 'Gotcha!' prize, Mark Carney would win it hands down. Each threat or action Trump makes against Canada, Carney effortlessly counters - not only to the detriment of the USA but to the benefit of Canada.
The sensible world, and Canadians in particular, are lucky to have him.
