Cute little article from the Guardian by someone who learned to read more in Japanese by accepting they won't understand everything, and that's okay.

Another resource for learning Japanese is Satori Reader.

You can read and listen to intermediate level stories, look up words and grammar in the app, and save words in their SRS flashcard program.

All written and voiced acted by humans!

If you're looking for some Anki decks for JLPT N5 and N4, I recently moved the ones I made for Memrise over.

Let me know if you find them useful or if you think there's anything I can do to improve them and I'll see what I can do.

New year means new language study goals for the year!

Some people might think it's sacrilege to say, BUT you can use anime to help you learn Japanese.

Are you trying to learn Japanese? Or just curious? For every like, I will share one bit of advice.

Why listen to me? I started from zero at age 20. Later studied at the faculty of letters at Kyoto U. on a monbusho scholarship & worked as an in-house translator at an animation company in Tokyo.

I tried #TEUIDA app.

First impression: I love the 「everyday」interaction feel. It encourages you to speak Japanese in real life and it’s useful for someone who isn’t surrounded by Japanese people.

ありがとうございます
@amjapanese.bsky.social for recommending the app :-)
