A clear sign that America has lost its way is when prioritizing "maximizing shareholder value" overshadowed the goal of "promoting the general welfare."
One of the best and highest uses of a government is to provide goods that are uneconomical to be produced locally but have massive surplus if produced at all. Particularly notable examples include:
* disease and weather forecasting
* basic science, esp in energy/health
* natural disaster insurance

Fetterman and others have already indicated they're passing it because they're indifferent to Americans. The Democratic Party is complicit in this authoritarian shift. Your party has let us all down.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.
Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.
