I just got a big warning at work, I was late to a session with a client which I didn't even realize I had they said I'm fired if it happens again I'm so so scared I literally just got this job and it's been such a huge relief having money coming in and this seemed like a great career path

He looks up briefly. “It always seems to fade away after about thirty seconds. I do not know why. I may have to use a different spell after all.” “You've been working for hours, you know,” she says, smiling fondly. “I stole some bread rolls from the kitchen. Would you like one?” He looks up at her. “Lady Edelgard, you should not be stealing from the kitchen! You'll get one of the servants in trouble.” “There were about one hundred rolls. I do not think anyone noticed.” He just makes a small hmph noise, but took the roll anyway and started to eat it. “I think we should paint the mask, too,” she says. “It looks much too plain like that.” “All right,” he replies, “but only after I fix it. I do not want paint interfering with the spell's mechanism.” When she awoke, Edelgard felt a wave of nostalgia. That was right, wasn't it? He'd been helping her with the Flame Emperor costume all along
