That's what happened in South Carolina this summer, when reporters claimed a woman used a “plastic bag to dump stillborn baby.”
@kylietcheung.bsky.social and I uncovered that she actually had a miscarriage at 18 weeks - yet her name and *mugshot* were splashed across the crime pages
