I cannot explain enough that the videos are THE POLICE rioting. There’s footage of people throwing bricks, etc. That’s in the fashion district on the other side of DTLA. It’s where vendors, factories & wholesale stores are—FULL of people who need to be protected at all costs. It wasn’t a march.

In conclusion, the “someone” in question may very well have shared this information with the speaker so that, when their rolling comes, the someone in question can say, “I told you so” or some similar utterance.

The rest of their discourse bears this out as it is filled with example after example of anti-wisdom. Like Buddhist koans that promote the accumulation of wealth.

Thus, we can see that the speaker’s inability to grasp the threat their lack of understanding poses to their world-self’s homeostatic state will lead to their rolling.

The original speaker has shifted the pronouns to make more sense as they relay the message “somebody once told” them. This include the following phrase “I ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed.”

While we can’t know precisely what the original message was, we can infer that it was spoken as a prediction of the inevitable outcome of the original speaker’s ignorance rather than a warning.

This information is given to the speaker by a third party but passed to the listener as processed by the speaker whose limited understanding of the world distorts the third party’s message in transmission.

As with any self, the world the speaker refers to possesses defensive instincts that will cause it to attempt to “roll” anyone who seeks to threaten the world-self’s homeostastic state.

While your argument is certainly provocative, it is based on assumptions that are, at best faulty. While the globe may not have a homogeneous will, the functional worlds we interact with on a regular basis certainly have emergent phenomena the can be said to have a self.

The Rev’s skeet reads to me like an internal Christian conversation that’s escaped containment. More “we’re doing it wrong and need to be better” than “they’re wrong so don’t worry about us, the real ones.”

I hate how many onion headlines never fail to be relevant.

Religious films where the director is clearly working through something personal: First Reformed, Silence, Dogma, Tree of Life, The Fountain, etc.
