Is the show 911 now a fantasy show? Cause that shit is crazy.

Good for you for reading it. I look at wills/probates/law stuff and my brain just melts lolol

I think that is in part because those groups are the most eager to talk while lapsed Catholics like me are over here going, that isn't what Father Roger taught me in college level Bible class. Most of the most Catholic people I know are the quietest about it.

My brother-in-law's family is anti Vatican 2 and they are just...really interesting to listen to cause my parents won't let me talk to them lololol

I successfully found the actual pagans at my Catholic college so that is probably a good thing.

I'm wondering who they are interviewing for these articles and if they are actually Catholics or are recent Catholics who seem to be a lot more conservative than others? Like, they love the pomp but hate the teachings

Makes sense.

I had a British Dad and Daughter comment on how I said Devonshire St since I was directing them to the other Visitor Center. They thought I was pretty funny lol

I'm very sad that past me ate all the apple crisp so that present me doesn't have a delicious thing for breakfast.

/shudder

I've seen others say Bill Erica lolol

Wait are they doing the British way?

If you are from there or went to school there many just shorten it to the Woo. Lol

And then in general it is similar to Wister

When in doubt say it fast and drop a letter!

I was always confused as to where they found that extra e. Now, Worcester is another fun one cause it has at least two acceptable ways.

Wasn't able to buy books today cause we had like three fires to put out at the same time. And I only read another assignment not a chapter, but I think I'm in good shape for tomorrow.

Today's plans include hosting a board game night, buying books, attending a q&a for class, finishing a paper proposal, and possibly reading a chapter or two in my assignments.

Tomorrow, I'll need to finish my readings, do two main posts and 4 replies, and attend another q&a.

Cop Lee

Many people say it Cope lee, but they are wrong and from away

Copley and Haverhill really trip people up.

But don't sleep on Peabody.

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

Tonight is our first board game night and the laughter coming from the room is so lovely.

Two people have already figured out how they are related academically lol

Flemmi killed at least 15 people. Bulger at least 11. Both raped young girls, terrorized entire neighborhoods, and were horrible men. No idea why you would want to eat with either of these fucking douches above your table.

A celebrity chef’s re-branding concept for Savin Bar + Kitchen – which features photos of notorious Boston mobsters, including the late James “Whitey” Bulger— is causing a stir in Savin Hill, where civic leaders voted to petition the business to remove the images. www.dotnews.com/2025/savin-h...

The program I'm in is fine, I just hate all this fiddly little shit that we are required to do. I would much rather have to make a zine or blog posts about stuff instead of waiting for someone to make a post and have to reply to them lol

One of my weird souvenirs from Lisbon is a tin of sardines with a very close approximation of my name on it. I don't eat sardines and never will, but I love that little can.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

Oh, is this my chance to write a paper about Dr. Melnea Cass and/or Ruth Batson???

Something about how the Black women of Boston fought Jim Crow based on tactics they learned from the AmRev and Civil War activists? Hmm...

Only have 15 pages to do it in, so might be too big, but I <3 Melnea.

The Newfoundland and Labrador public libraries continue to make the absolute best free pins that you can just have if you go to borrow a book
A pin on a desk, it has a codfish silhouette holding a library card, with the words "having fun isn't hard when you've got a library cod"
