On brand #UnconfinedWalks to collect a library book and buy wine.
Also bought bulbs for my new lamp, after breaking my old one last week. And they fit!
View across a river. There are trees with red and green leaves on the bank. There is also a barge moored.
It is a sunny day and the trees and barge are reflecting in the river. An upright lamp with two lights, one large and one small.

Caught up on last night's Strictly (not the results yet!). Aside from the dancing, it's very strange seeing the country park I visited often as a child featured.

Autumn colours and the hints of bare branches on today's #UnconfinedWalks.
View across an open space with trees in leaf. The trees are green, copper and yellow. View across an open space towards trees. The upper branches are bare, lower branches have green and yellow leaves. A wall completely covered in red leaves.

Right, very late but I am back from dancing, have a glass of red for #ConfinedCocktails and Patatas bravas for a late dinner.

Today's #UnconfinedWalks involved a lot of #UnconfinedDancing. Three miles on the dancefloor plus walking to and from transit points.
After stressful couple of weeks and struggling seasonal adjustment it eas great to dance my troubles away and lose myself on the dancefloor.
Red circular plaque commemorating Colin Townsley, a firefighter who died in the 1987 King's Cross station fire. Circular blue plaque marking St Pancras Station, first opened in 1868 and now grade 1 listed. Yellow, copper, and brown leaves, trapped between a concrete blocks and a wire fence. Lots of feet on a wooden dancefloor.

Taking a breather from the dancefloor with #TeaUp.
A table cloth with the word Ceroc, a logo of two people dancing and a flyer advertising beginners week. A white hand holding a take away cup of tea.

Aso hit 18 is very different to leave the house at half six temperature.

Tbf I rarely do sandals. I've semi retired my canvas shoes for this year. Comfortable but less practical in the damp.

Bookmarked, but if you have capacity to remind us daytime at the weekend that would be great!

Yep, if there's no train at the outset I can use an alternative route or know places to kill time. Mid journey I'm committed to that route and likely in a less familiar area.
Wishing you swift and smooth onward travels.

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.

As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.

At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.
To everyone in Britain's Jewish Community: you are not alone.

We will not let hate or those who spread it win.

We stand with you.

Apologies - I can't remember who shared the article in the Reading Club to tag them in this post.

I particularly like the point 'Be as specific as possible about what the technology in question is and how it works'. AI is such an umbrella term we rarely know exactly what is being referred to, let alone the impact and implications of that particular implementation.

I was on my way to make a fresh cup, so it could have been worse.

Just split my half empty cup of #TeaUp over the office kitchen.
I guess there are worse places at work to spill my drink.

Why is it so hard to dispose of small household electrical items without a car!
Large items you can arrange a bulk collection for, but councils want you to take to a recycling centre, which can't be accessed on foot.

And once you've stopped, wait patiently. Don't rev your engine to intimidate pedestrians.

Last couple of days for Yayadvent/Yayswap sign up. If you're a nice, normal person and interested in an advent calendar and/or Christmas ornament exchange and want more info let me know!

And the verdict. Quite nice and I'd probably drink it if it was available again, but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it again.

Today's #UnconfinedWalks had a purpose...Green Beer!
Rough river water near a weir. View along a tree lined river with autumn leaves on the trees. A pint of Goachers green hop beer on a table alongside two small Vases.

I use snapfish. It defaults to gloss but does have a matte option.
I don't think they use AI, but so many things sneak it in I can't guarantee that.
