This is a great example of the placemats used at KS4 - not overwhelming but also really useful to students in completion and then using to revise

Huge shout out to @missfolorunsho.bsky.social She’s given me some superb coaching in how I can use AI in my teaching. I was a complete novice this morning! Tonight I’m creating revision podcasts for my students! 👏🏻 Looking forward to learning more ☺️ #historyteacher #AI #GCSE

Do you teach OCR African Kingdoms Alevel or African Kingdoms at KS3? Would you like to start?

On Friday 25 April 2025, the Bristol Historical Association are hosting an afternoon of lectures on Early Modern African Kingdoms from an amazing group of academics.

I’ll be planning lessons on Britain and India soon. These look great ⭐️👏🏻 @apf102.bsky.social
Really excited by this new part of the #CurriculumPATHS project. We are collaborating with various bodies to share sources and interpretations to inspire #historyteacher s in their planning for school. Our first set is a collab with the BL looking at Britain and India 1600-1947. Please share!
Welcome to PATHfinders from SHP #CurriculumPATHS. PATHfinders is all about collaborating with museums, libraries and galleries to share fascinating sources and historical interpretations to inspire #historyteacher planning. /1

Looking for advice. Has anyone had success teaching #GCSE #History to #EAL students with very little English. I want to support a keen student but not sure how. Advice, reading, resources: all welcome. Thank you 😊

@catpriggs.bsky.social is now working freelance in education. As well as quality advice on middle and whole school leadership, Cat would be a GENIUS person to talk to about History curriculum and assessment.

📖 One thing I love about the summer holidays is the amount of time I have to enjoy reading. This summer has been a good one. I’ve chosen well. Just one that I found disappointing 📖 # historyteacher #summer #reading #readinglist 📚

Happy publication day to @historysam.bsky.social for her new Pearson Edexcel Medicine in Britain book. I couldn't ask for a better author. Based around cognitive science principles this is the only textbook on the market that accounts for the new content and assessment changes introduced this year.

I wrote something about mark reviews (you may know these as re-marks) which summarises what I think every year when I read social media, but never say.

Mark Reviews
As part of my exam role, at this time of year, I undertake reviews of marking. These are more commonly referred to as re-marks, which is a misnomer. Papers are not re-marked from scratch. Instead, the...
