I like animals and video games and perhaps a couple of other things
Gaming.

Not a huge fan of this replay, though. I'd prefer just a clean image of my top 10 or 5 with playtime attached. I'm not trying to send people a whole webpage to crawl through to get a look at what I've played

Are any of my mutuals Ace Combat fans? Can I be a casual and just start from 7?

I will say, while E33 wasn't my pick for GOTY (DQ2 remake just way better no offense), there are worse games to sweep the awards. Despite the terrible discourse the game has inspired, the game itself is pretty cool. The devs clearly have their hearts in the right place

Glad I slept through the game awards

Well, Metroid Prime 4 reviews are out and they confirmed my worst fears. Despite Nintendo fans demanding we wait for the full release and saying people getting mad at previews are dumb, it turns out if the trailers and previews make something look bad, it's probably gonna be bad. Real shocker.

I love when I wanna go to bed slightly early and one of my stupid fucking bastard neighbors blasts music so loud my walls vibrate with bass

Bought Detective Instinct. I will always show up for ADV kino. Probably gonna save it until after I'm done with KCD though

Interesting decision considering the only good parts of this game are tie-ins to Zestiria (best and most unfairly maligned Tales game btw) that don't mean anything without having played that

Watched and read a few Air Riders reviews and they're basically confirming the feeling I had after the network test that this is more of a party game than a racing game. If I had a bunch of friends who were getting it or I was still a kid having friends over for game nights it would probably go hard

One talking point I see a lot from current pro-Nintendo people is that it would be boring if franchises didn't explore new identities and try to change themselves, but honestly, I've never really agreed with that perspective very much whether for Nintendo franchises or other ones.

I feel like since the Switch era, Nintendo fanboys have reached a level of cultism you simply don't see in other gaming related fanbases. Yeah, Sony fanboys can be cringe, but I'm seeing people acting like expressing skepticism or negativity towards Nintendo is basically a moral failing now.

Metroid Prime 4 having a quippy sidekick who constantly backseats you and makes jokes is insane. The Prime games are about an atmosphere of loneliness and isolation as you explore alien landscapes. I was willing to give the game a chance in spite of its open world zones, but this one really hurts.

Just once I would like to be that person going "wow everyone disliked this? I thought it was great" about a presentation. Will it ever happen? Probably not

Well, seems like a State of Play is doomed to be mid whether it's a Japanese one or a standard one

I must admit I'm still fairly apprehensive about this remake and this interview certainly didn't do anything to change that, but DQ1&2 really put me back in DQ mainer mode. I dunno. I'll have to think about it.

Finished the DQ2 remake. I'm truly in awe of how they transformed DQ2 into something incredible. A game that used to creak under the weight of its scope and ambition now feels fully realized. Beyond fully realized, even. I went in with high hopes and curiosity, but it was beyond anything I imagined.

Well I'm glad there was a network test because it turns out I think Kirby Air Riders kinda sucks. Another Switch 2 L, but at least I save some money

I forgot this is out so soon. Considering I talk about wishing there were more ADVs being made whenever I get the chance, I feel like I gotta put my money where my mouth is and support this one. I really hope it's as good as it looks.
This will be our last #PitchYaGame before release 😮

Getting a new key in Dragon Quest and going around to a bunch of old locations unlocking all the corresponding doors and chests that teased you throughout your journey is one of the best feelings in any game

The good news is that Dragon Quest 1 & 2 remake is out right now and is also a better game

It's kinda funny how getting the ship in DQ2 remake and going back to Alefgard feels like returning home and seeing a bunch of nostalgic locations again and being overwhelmed by memories even though I was actually playing DQ1 until the other day

Got the ship a few hours ago in DQ2 remake, and I'm still absolutely enamored with the game. Dragon Quest rules

DQ2 was always good until you get the ship, so it's dangerous to let myself be dazzled too early, but I gotta say I have a good feeling about this one. Right off the bat this is a fresh and new experience. It kinda feels like a lost entry from the DQ4-DQ6 era of the franchise now.
