We don’t even know the payroll but if it’s the same as last year there’s not enough money to even have interesting discussions on the 3rd tier players we can afford. And palace intrigue is just business as usual for the last two years. We need the year extension on the seidler court filings to lapse

There’s not really anything to discuss with Stammen. We know nothing about his managing skills, tendencies, strategies, etc.

An we’ve been told that almost all of AJ’s hires are going to be The One that is in sync with AJ so I don’t put much stock in that fluffing either. And is that even a good thing?

My one test for a new manager was Is He A Manager That Would Bat Luis Arraez 2nd For 500 PA’s and I honestly don’t think Stammen would pass. He seems like he’ll be exceedingly veteran player friendly (Pujols would have been too!). But who knows! We learned nothing of substance from the presser.
