Oh! My fault for believing the crappy Google results that gave 2.5ML for an Olympic pool. Shallow googling?
Wow. This pretty normal storm just dropped 30mm rain on our 5 acre block. Total ~600,000 l water/about a quarter of an Olympic pool just on our place, and we didn't get the heaviest rain. The storm path is hundreds of km long and pretty wide. Crazy quantities of water up there.
