Here's the thing tho: despite the game crashing a billion times, glitching constantly and generally being clearly unfinished, I still played the entire thing, both DLCs and the post game, completed all three Pokédexes. There's just so much to enjoy and have fun with in this game, despite itself.

Pokémon Scarlet: This game made me mad with how good it should have been. There is, under all the bugs, the core of a franchise-defining game, and a really good game full stop. But to get to that, you have to look past a rushed, broken mess that often looks like shit. Squandered brilliance 8/10
