This is such a phenomenal way to mix art and memory
Cross-stitch of friend’s mother when she was 16 years old. I made it for her memorial when she passed many years later.

My pull today reminds me of the strength we get from the community. All we have is the people we choose to give our energy to. The strength of our ancestors rises up to us, they’ve been through the dark times by being a part of community and we will too.

This little guy is so cute! Happy Lunar New Year to all those who celebrate it.
Happy Lunar New Year and Year of the Snake. This year I'm finding that #crossstitch is providing a few precious moments of mindfulness and calm during this crazy time. Then it's back to resisting.

Having trouble getting started on a new audiobook today. Tried two nonfictions, a thriller (in French), and a YA romance but none were the right vibe. So put down Libby and watching the Good Place while I add more to my 2024 temperature cross stitch.

Book suggestions always welcomed.

Got to spend some time cross stitching with new friends today. It was really nice to craft with others. I wish I’d taken a photo to share but I totally forgot. Added about a month to my 2024 temperature cross stitch! Can’t wait to see it all finished.

Never finished this project for some reason. Sometimes repetitive colors are difficult for me to focus on. But I should definitely continue it.

Things my 5 year old said today: can I bring this [easter] egg to school on Monday? I’ll leave it in my cubby until you pick me up because I need to play ninjas with B and then I can be a puppy and lay an egg.
I didn’t understand a word of that but sure kid you can.

Finished book 6 of the year. It’s been a tough month, so audiobooks are keeping me afloat. Reading while my spoon count is low.
