The new patch windows in 24-25 Artifacts are tiny now. Overlayed them on top of last year's patch window and that's a noticeable difference.

2023-24 SP Authentic is probably the biggest "Bedard Tax" product to ever come out. It's very risky to the point where you need to hit a Bedard auto or a rare Fantilli/Cooley/Carlsson to break even or pull ahead

It is a very bold decision to send out a $250-$300 card as the top card in a two piece container that doesn’t really fit it

I think if Upper Deck removed the Gaming inserts from 2024-25 Series 1, it’d be a better product #cardsky #hockeycards

Overall 2024-25 Series 1 is fun but they could probably cut out all of the Gaming inserts and the product would be no worse for wear

2022-23 Upper Deck The Cup is projected to come out next Wednesday (September 18th)!
It's the highest-end hockey card set, and the main chase cards are the Rookie Patch Autos (specifically: the ones limited to just 99 copies each)

There's a Bedard SP insert in Series 1!
The past few times UD did an SP-1 in Series 1, the odds were 1:12,960 packs (540 boxes/45 cases).
There has also been a variation (SP-1V) at 1:60,000 packs
Wouldn't be entirely shocked to to see the Bedard SSP fall around the same rate, and a variant too

My hockey card hot take is that Premier RPAs are nicer than The Cup RPAs, and this year’s look kinda sick

Ultimate having Caufield, Zegras, and Seider as sticker autos is definitely a frustrating time.
It’s going to be interesting to see what becomes the norm. Sticker autos are better than redemptions that don’t get filled, but in a premium product they look ugly

It’s going to be interesting to see how the Fanatics anti-trust lawsuit plays out. Hopefully with a good resolution for collectors, and not a monopoly.
