Three young conservative lawyers were part of the GOP "Florida recount" team that led to GWB becoming president, via Bush-v-Gore.

They were: John Roberts. Brett Kavanaugh. Amy Coney Barrett.

They’re hellbent on crushing it to benefit UPS and FedEx, and whatever other private hoover of public funds they will stand up.

It’s why they don’t expect seismic pushback, maybe,

but the “why” is that Republicans’ enduring project is privatization of govt, to benefit their donors and themselves.

yes, they’ve created a cultural architecture(w/its own religion) to support it,

but the project hasn’t changed.

You might want to look into the history of why USPS was *intentionally* saddled with onerous pension burdens, unlike any other federal agency and any private company I'm aware of.

And the history of its "universal service" commitment, and how that differs from normal for-profit organization.
