Jim Holloway was a big part of introducing samurai movies and Hong Kong comics to the white guys who made D&D happen.

He's passed now, but his son has mentioned that his father was proud of bringing fun Asian action pop culture to stateside RPG's.

One of the consultants and artists for D&D's Oriental Adventures was Japanese-American Jim Holloway, who loved illustrating Eastern Fantasy in the USA and shared Asian cinema with his colleagues.

Would've loved to meet him, hear about what it was like being Asian-American making that era of RPG's.

Warhammer Cathay isn't Yin Yang shaped because elf homeland Ulthuan is already the Yin Yang continent with wuxia sword sages.

Cathay gets a sigmar comets verison of the Yin Yang because warhammer elves already use the Song and later dynasty yin yang.

Warhammer high elves (and somewhat wood + dark) are made up of Kungfu and Samurai Ninja movies/novels the artists/writers knew of in the 80's, plus Immortals Persia and Ottoman Turkey, with 17c China/Japan's "hairy barbarians only trade in this one port, thanks"

If you do MS-DOS emulation, 1993 Dark Sun Shattered Lands is like the Dragon Age trilogy but your protagonist is someone who actually fights slavery, and there isn't a meta plot about one group of politically powerless foreigners that is to blame for everything wrong.
